Gagarthi gang members

Originating in Orlanth-worshipping clans, but no longer true followers: the Gagarthi.

Broo

Here is a Reaper Boar Broo, that looks particularly cool.

An HeroQuest miniature from Lance and Laser.

Lunar Soldiers and chief

I have spent a lot of time sculpting lately, here are a few Lunar soldiers I painted up in beween sculpting sessions. Right one is Lance & Laser, the two other are from Ral Partha.

Miniatures from Citadel, eagle head from a Rall Partha Griffin, Cow head from a cheap plastic toy

Miniatures from Fenryll.

Griffin

A big bird, one of the main defenders of Griffin Mountain.  Ral Partha I think.

Jack-o-bear

Halloween à la Glorantha: the Jack-o-Bear.  Notice the shrooms in the back!  Pumpkin and champignons!

Headhanger

This is the Headhanger.  It collects heads which it puts on a spike on his back to gain access to the victims manna and spells.  One of my favourite 'surprises'.

Fachan

This Fachan is from the Ral Partha range (I hope) and the quality isn't the best.  On top of that, my primer is a bit coarse, and it shows in the final finish. Still, he's a weird fellow, so let's pretend it's all normal.

Scorpion Man Hero

This Scorpion man is a modification of a Scorpion Beast, which I purchased from a guy in the UK through e-bay, and a torso of a Naked Fanatic, manufacturer unknown, that was still lying around in my bit box. It's quite a big scorpion man, so I use him as a hero. Some bits from GW in there too.

Great Troll

This is one of the Lance and Laser models, depicting a great troll.

Troll

This is a troll, from the Ral Partha range.

Broo Champion

This model is in 'heroic' 28 mm scale, but it measures about 35 mm to the eyes. Very big Broo.

Shaker Temple High Priestess

Here is the gigantic high priestess of the bloody Maran Gor Shaker Cult travels in her processional wagon, drawn by six blind cave oxen and escorted by her virgin cannibal cultists.

The Shakers make the barren ground around their temple fertile, by ploughing the corpses of victims into the soil. They defend their realm by summoning massive earthquakes, and eat parts of their captives to gain their magics.

All the pictures are clickable.

I built the wagon from the bitzbox and greenstuff. The oxen are converted from Front Rank. The chains are silver (strictly should be copper, the cult metal of earth religions). The queen herself is very heavily converted from a Reaper Rat King model.

At one stage, my son Jack dropped the completed but unpainted model; did I swear? Yes I did!

The cultist miniatures are converted from Foundry, Citadel, Shadowforge and Gripping Beast. They were superbly painted for me by Nick Speller; the colours he chose are especially effective!

Played in HOTT as "spears" - well, they're actually holding Bills. Duck Bills. Yes, the ducks do have flat feet, yes, I do like bad puns.
